my philosophy

As a competitive gymnast growing up I spent many hours at the gym with my coaches and teammates perfecting routines, increasing my strength and learning life lessons. Through the long hours at practice I learned to be a part of a team and community.  Each day I was able to see how my hard work would gradually add up to results, and most importantly, my belief in myself. My experiences in athletics crossed over into every aspect of my life and  inspired me to pursue a career in health and fitness where I could coach others. As a coach my goal has always been to help my clients create their own path to finding themselves.

my story

Fast forward almost 10 years into my career within the corporate fitness model- I’d led several successful personal training teams and helped hundreds of clients flourish as I coached them to implement significant lifestyle changes both in and outside of the gym. While devoting my time and energy into helping others find themselves through fitness, it hit me that I had lost myself along the way due to the stress and pressures of corporate life, ultimately sacrificing my own self-care and happiness.

Knowing I couldn’t be the coach I aspired to be if I didn’t practice what I preached, I had to take a hard look at myself and figure out how to find myself again. My thoughts kept going back to the memories from gymnastics practices and competitions, remembering the team I was part of, how it felt being encouraged by my teammates, and what it felt like to win as a team- all of these pieces had ignited my passion for a career in fitness. Was there a place where I could feel that same way again?

Realizing that it was possible- and with the support of my family and closest friends I was finally ready to make a big change and put my happiness first. For me coming to P4L is that place. It’s given me the opportunity to join a community  where each day I can be surrounded and inspired by like-minded people with a passion for helping others.
