Martial Arts, Kinesthetics
I was raised in a very sport oriented family, which produced two professional athletes. One was my uncle who played football for the University of Alabama, and then later went on to play for the Oakland Raiders. The other was my grand father who began his career as a heavy weight boxer after winning Gold at the first ever Pan American games, and then later in pursuing a career as a professional wrestler who was known by the names Chief Guaconopolus, Punchy Pinero and Mr. Uganda. These individuals helped inspire me to pursue sports and martial arts. While pursuing a career in Martial Arts I became more interested maximizing my potential and performance cabilities, while minimizing injury. This led me to pursue a path in Kinesiology and Sports Sciences.
If theres one thing that I have heard many times by several elite coaches is to, "keep things simple". This is a philosophy I have chose to adopt for myself , not only in my professional life, but in my personal life as well. This has given me the ability to address issues practically and to adhere to the basic concepts and principles that establish the foundation of sports and exercise sciences.
