Perform for Life is a modern personal training studio in the Mission District co-founded by husband-wife duo, Justine and Bryant Sharifi in 2014. Their mission is to develop a respected establishment in the fitness industry that promotes superior quality service, coaching, and education.

We are currently on the search for highly motivated and flexible individuals to fulfill our Movement Specialist role in a start-up environment that is both professional and fun. We look for people who take what they do seriously but not themselves!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing scientific exercise programs.

  • Coaching small group and 1:1 personal training sessions.

    • Create planned progressions that create specific adaptations based on the client/athletes goals/needs.

    • Must be able to display flexibility within the program and re-assess as needed.

  • Maintain, manage, and grow clientele.

    • Included but not limited to: keeping track of sessions serviced, client logs, updates on client programs, and more.

    • Consistent scheduling of client sessions.

    • Scheduling errors and tardiness to a minimum.

    • Maintain and retain clients measured by monthly renewals.

    • Constantly seeks opportunities to grow clientele.

    • Responsible for acquiring client reviews.

  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of space, following AM/PM opening/closing procedures and performing housekeeping tasks.

  • Doing assigned quarterly education assignments.

  • Being a brand ambassador for P4L, its culture, and values.


Applicant Requirements:

  • Currently has or is pursuing a degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field.

    • Additionally, all movement specialists pursue continued education on a quarterly basis.

  • Knowledge of multiple assessment protocols.

    • Movement specialists will refer to methods used in FMS, SFMA, CHEK, and other pertinent assessment protocols in order to thoroughly assess client alignment and movement.

    • Must be able to assess independently.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service centered.

    • People-oriented and detail-oriented

  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Availability to work split shifts and and one weekend day (Sat or Sun)

Nice to Haves:

  • Understanding of Google Suite and social media.

  • Writing skills will be especially helpful in crafting our blog posts.
