AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Ever since I was three, exercise has been in my life. I experienced so many different movements and emotions through soccer, track, basketball, baseball, and swimming. My high school career consisted of mainly soccer and track, where I found my passions as a striker and a pole vaulter. Having sprained my ankles and strained my shoulder in the two sports, I was exposed to different rehab programs to get myself back whether it be on the field or track. Resistance training and weight lifting brought me to research more about the body and it's adaptations, as well as nutrition to supplement it. My nervousness and focus that I experienced in social environments would disappear when I began to exercise, and I felt like I was right where I was supposed to be. For these reasons I decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry, as I want to help as many people find their place and feel the rush that I felt every time I reached a goal, or simply just worked up a sweat.
Exercise isn't just an activity, it is a lifestyle. There are so many instances in life where I am constantly reminded of how exercise affects us, from rehabilitation, body composition, daily activities, relationships, and mood. It amazes me how people can be completely transformed when they add even the most simple health habits to their lives, such as going for a walk instead of watching TV, or eating celery instead of chips. The way that I view a relationship with fitness is not how it is going to be over and done with, but how it can be internalized and personalized. Everyone has their own drives and reasons for doing things, and exercise can most certainly be applied to each and every one. Exercise is the ultimate fountain of youth, and I will use that to help those here at P4L.
